Multiplication of a vector by scalar

By multiplying a scalar quantity to a vector, we will be able to obtain a new vector. let say that the scalar quantity is k and a vector quantity a, when multiplied together it will give us vector ka. For an example, as the image below the vector is a and the scalar quantity is 3. Multiplication of  vector by scalar is just like a modification of the vectors. Meaning that before we jump into any calculations of subtraction or addition of vectors, the multiplication of the vectors takes place first if needed.1200px-Scalar_multiplication_by_r=3.svg.png
